The Westernapolis individual meeting, due to have been staged at the St Boniface Arena on Friday evening, has been called off because of a lack of quality riders.
Co-promoters Seemond Stephens and Ashley Taylor made the decision on Monday after learning that a number of the proposed line-up of riders were not going to be available.
Number one Ty Proctor is still injured while skipper Cory Gathercole and new signing Mikkel Bech will be riding elsewhere.
Also ruled out was former Plymouth number one Ben Barker, who was due to make what would have been an attractive return to the St Boniface Arena.
Taylor said: "We were not prepared to put on what would have proved to be an inferior meeting.
"It is frustrating that we have had to take this decision because our season is becoming fragmented for various reasons.
"We know that supporters want to attend speedway meetings on a regular basis but we decided against going ahead with a meeting in which we were already going to be without at least 25 per-cent of the first choice riders."
Proctor has been told to rest his injury and will be out of action for at least another four weeks.
Gathercole will be guesting for Swindon at Coventry on Friday evening and Barker will be making a guest appearance for Eastbourne at home to Poole while Bech is also expected to be in Elite League action.
So Plymouth supporters face a second blank week as far as home meetings are concerned with last Friday's league match against Ipswich having been rained off.
The Devils still face a busy weekend, however, with away matches at Berwick on Saturday and Newcastle on Sunday.
The next meeting at the St Boniface Arena will be a Premier League match against Berwick on Friday week, June 28.
New dates will have to be agreed for the re-arranged Ipswich and Westernapolis meetings.
