A FIRE in the boys' toilets of a St Austell school is suspected to have been started deliberately.
Two fire engines from the town attended the blaze involving a paper towel dispenser at Restormel Pupil Referral Unit in Carlyon Road.
Firefighters used two sets of breathing equipment and a jet hose to douse the flames.
"When we arrived there was smoke issuing from the toilet area," said St Austell crew manager Matt Grubb.
"Investigations are still ongoing to try and ascertain a cause but it is suspected arson."
The school was not available for comment.
