Officers are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of Simon Evans, 42, who was last seen at his home in Lyme Regis at 7.30am yesterday. Enquiries have established that Mr Evans may have been in the Portreath and Redruth areas of Cornwall yesterday evening. Chief Inspector Debbie Marsden, of Dorset Police, said: "We know that Simon has left driving a black SAAB 9-5 Vector, registration number VO11 YBB. "He has recently been very upset and his whole family is extremely concerned about him, and wants to make sure he is alright. "I urge Simon to let know to let either the police or his family know that he is safe and well as soon as possible." Simon is described as 6ft 4ins tall, of stocky build with dark hair and a short beard. He sometimes wears glasses, mostly for driving and reading. It is believed that he is wearing blue jeans, a grey Weird Fish top and a brown jacket. Anyone with any information or knowledge as to Simon's whereabouts should call Dorset Police on 101, quoting incident number 18:126, or if seen in Devon or Cornwall 0195 180613.
