SKIES are set to remain dry for the launch of Mevagissey's Feast Week today, according to the Met Office.
It is set to be cloudy with hints of sunshine, with temperatures of 13-15 degrees Celsius, but no rain is predicted for the day.
The festivities will kick off with the eagerly-awaited Fish Festival all day, with the flamboyant Big Fish Procession starting at 2pm.
This will see giant fish heads glide through the streets, paraded by local people in fancy dress.
Local restaurants will serve up fresh sea food dishes throughout the day from stalls along the harbourside as well as a Cornish Ale bar and roster of live bands during the afternoon and evening.
Feast Week committee secretary Sally Hodgson says: "Feast Week to me is a coming together of a community to create something unique and very special.
"With the amazing backdrop of the harbour for most events, people - young and old, locals and those who have moved away - return year after year to be with loved ones during this fantastic week and celebrate their village together."
