A 49-year-old man accused of setting fire to himself and his Cornwall home is due in court today to face a charge of arson.
James Gutteridge, from St John, near Torpoint, will appear at Bodmin Magistrates Court having been arrested in the early hours of Monday.
It follows an incident in which firefighters had to flood a house with water after it was doused in petrol. The emergency services had been called to the property at 3am.
