EXCITED youngsters from a school choir in Newquay are preparing to flex their vocal cords at a national festival.
Pupils from Trenance Learning Academy dazzled judges at the regional stage in Truro and have been selected to perform four songs at the Birmingham Symphony Hall on Tuesday.
The school's music co-ordinator, Jude Moseley, said she was immensely proud of all 46 children in the choir.
She told the Cornish Guardian: "It's the first time we've entered a festival like this so we're all extremely excited. I think the children will be bowled over by the size of the hall when they see it. It's going to be amazing."
There will be no 'winners' at the Music For Youth Festival, she said, as the aim was to allow all the schools taking part to enjoy themselves while receiving tips and advice from professionals.
Trenance Choir is set to perform four songs – My Dog, The Lighthouse, The Pirate Story, and Any Dream Will Do.
