A 7-2 final day win over Wiltshire, earned Cornwall's top women golfers second place at South West County Match Week held at Woodbury Park, Exeter.
It was the third win in five matches for the county team, who pipped Devon by just half a point into third place, with Gloucestershire having already secured the championship ahead of the final day.
Cornwall led 2-1 after the morning foursomes following wins for Sarah-Jane Boyd and Sammy Giles and juniors Emily Toy and Eugenie Knight, playing together for the first time.
And in the afternoon singles Cornwall were in dominant form, winning five out of six matches.
Truro's Boyd, the reigning British and English Strokeplay champion, maintained her 100 per cent singles record for the week, beating Alex Patton 2&1 and there were also victories for Sammy Giles (5&3), Georgia Price (8&7), Emily Toy (3&2) and Jan Sergeant (one up).
Now Cornwall will be hoping to gone one better at Yeovil next year.
