Callington opener Matt Robins will captain the Cornwall county cricket team for the rest of the season when available, it was announced this afternoon.
This follows last week's news that skipper Tom Sharp was stepping down after almost 12 years at the helm.
Robins, a former vice captain of the county side, will lead the side on Sunday when the Minor Counties Championship match against Wiltshire at Corsham starts.
In a 12 man squad Robins, Sam Hockin and Alex Smeeth replace Gary Thomas and Callum Wilson from the 11 that played against Oxfordshire.
