THESE caring youngsters were not content to take pictures of this stranded jellyfish – they wanted to rescue the poor creature as well.
The kayaking kids were so sad to see the stranded barrel jellyfish that they asked their expedition leader Tim Uff to see what he could do to help the huge animal.
Mr Uff said: "We were on a dads and kids kayaking and wild camping trip up the Helford river. "This barrel jelly fish was stranded on the edge of the estuary near Port Navas.
"One of the kids spotted it so we went over. They were all blown away by the size, and how heavy and solid it was.
Mr Uff and the kids lifted the jellyfish carefully with three paddles to re-float it.
"It was pretty sad to see such an impressive animal stranded," he said. "So it felt great releasing it.
