Homeowners in Liskeard are being reminded to keep their homes secure following two burglaries in the area.
Police said a purse and its contents were stolen during a daylight burglary at a house in Pensylva on Thursday.
In a separate incident, two wristwatches were stolen during a burglary at a property in the town centre on November 3.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said, "Simple, everyday precautions such as locking a door or shutting a window may make the difference between you becoming a burglary victim or not.
"It is easy to become complacent when living in an area with a low crime rate, but the effect of a burglary on the home owner can be devastating.
"We would encourage people to get into a routine before going to bed at night and include using your existing security measures among this".
Anyone with any information regarding the burglaries is asked to call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 quoting crime reference BD/12/1419.
