Cornwall Chamber of Commerce has appointed a new president.
Toby Parkins, the founder and managing director of St Agnes-based web development firm UKNetWeb, has taken over the presidency from Sue Hook, who held the position for ten months.
Chief executive Kim Conchie said: "Under Sue's leadership, the chamber has grown in membership, is a stronger organisation and has achieved a higher profile.
"We are excited to now move forward with Toby as our new president, who will be instrumental in leading our three-year strategy. Toby runs a growing business in a sector which is going to be very important to Cornwall, he is full of ideas and very collaborative."
Mr Parkins said: "It was an honour to be asked to take the role and after an excellent year of Sue Hook's leadership, many things have been accomplished.
"The chamber has excellent relationships with various public sector bodies, other business networks, education institutions and importantly the LEP.
"This means there are lots of opportunities for businesses in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly to really shape change and drive it forward. With some good groundwork already in place in certain sectors, now is the time to really make the most of it."
