Firefighters cut free a man from the twisted wreckage of a car following a three-vehicle pile-up during rush-hour traffic in Cornwall. The accident happened yesterday at around 8.20am. Emergency services were called to Blowinghouse, Redruth. A fire engine and rescue tender from Camborne attended. Crews found the man aged in his early 20s trapped in one of the vehicles. The emergency team used cutting equipment to release the man before paramedics took over and he was taken to hospital.
