A weather warning remains in place for most of Cornwall today as heavy rain sweeps through the Westcountry.
Exeter based weather agency, the Met Office have warned that "heavy and persistent rain is likely to cross parts of [the south west]. The rain should gradually ease from the west during the morning.
The public should be prepared for the risk of flooding and possible disruption to transport at first on Wednesday morning."
Devon is expected to take the brunt of the weather this morning, however, where the warning has been upgraded to amber.
Congestion to traffic on the approach to the Tamar bridge is building in both directions as the weather worsens.
