TREVIGLAS Community College students were put to the test when members of the Royal Air Force catapulted them into a crash disaster exercise.
The Royal Air Force Outreach Team conducted Exercise Fallen Angel - a demanding table top, crash disaster exercise designed to test Year 12 Public Service students at the college.
The aim was to challenge the student's problem solving, time management, communication, listening, teamwork and leadership skills.
The scenario was based around a military fighter aircraft that crashed on the outskirts of Plymouth, whilst transiting from RAF Leuchars, Scotland to RAF St Mawgan, Newquay and lasted five hours.
Throughout the task students explored the skills needed to lead their team while remaining professional in a stressful situation.
Flight Lieutenant Charles Paffett, from RAF Recruiting and Outreach, said he was "very impressed" by the approach of all the students and felt that the exercise identified some of the key personal qualities that the RAF looks for in its future personnel.
