A COUPLE were lucky to avoid serious injury after their car rolled down a 15 metre embankment on the A3075 near Newquay last night.
Firefighters were forced to cut one of the casualties out of the vehicle, which had been travelling along the 'Big Dipper' stretch at Rejerrah at about 7.30pm.
A total of 18 firefighters attended the scene. They had to use special lines to stabilise the vehicle while they made the area safe.
Both occupants of the car were placed in the care of paramedics. Their injuries are not thought to be serious.
