Penryn agency Stranger Collective has created a set its third set of Christmas cards to raise funds for Helston-based disaster relief charity ShelterBox.

The writers teamed up with nationally acclaimed illustrators to come up with the designs, which are led by messages around the charity's core values of shelter, warmth and dignity.

Helen Gilcrest, a partner at Stranger Collective and a ShelterBox response team member said: "We have been working on their Christmas cards for three years now.

"First and foremost we want to create cards that are fun to send to friends and family, but as the cards are to raise money for a charity that does serious work around the world, we were also keen to communicate Shelterbox's core values in a creative and stimulating way with designs that are led by words."

Each pack contains 12 cards, with six designs. Two were selected from a national competiton to find new writers and illustrators and designers.

This will be the first year the cards will be sold internationally, through the charity's affiliates in the USA, Canada and Australia.

Danny Whear from ShelterBox said: "It's such a great opportunity to team up with talented creative people to help spread awareness of the vital life saving work ShelterBox does to help families affected by disasters around the world."

The packs are £4.50each and there is also wrapping paper, which is £5 for four sheets, available from www.shelterboxshop.org.uk
