A stained glass window created by the community at Falmouth Art Gallery was high commended in the Hudson's Heritage Awards.
Falcare, formerly Mencap, and children form Kerrier Pupil Referral Unit transformed the stairway into a sea of shimmering colours for the project, inspired by Henri Matisse's stained glass windows at the Chapel in Venice.
Art gallery staff worked with heritage consultant Michael Swift of Truro Cathedral and ran a series of workshops with artist Susan Kinley to produce the work.
The awards celebrate business and creative achievements in the UK heritage industry.
