Police have launched an investigation after a schoolboy hit by a car in Cornwall died in hospital.The 11-year-old, who was named locally as Caleb Hollow, suffered serious injuries after a collision in Hayle on December 7 and was rushed to Treliske, in Truro, then the Frenchay Hospital, in Bristol. Yesterday police said the boy had died, and announced its serious collision unit was to conduct a full investigation. The boy was in an accident with a silver Audi A2 at Loggans Road at its junction with Loggans Way at around 8.40am. His father paid tribute to his "beautiful son".
