Police are appealing for help in solving a serious sexual assault in Somerset and an attempt to grab a teenager in Cornwall.
Avon and Somerset police want witnesses and information after a young woman was attacked by an man in an underpass in Hendford, Yeovil. At about 11pm on Sunday last week, a skinny Asian man, about 5ft 6in tall wearing a hooded top and "very" white trainers, sexually assaulted a woman.
PC Chris Clegg, from Wells CID, said: "Offences like this are extremely rare in Yeovil and I would urge anyone who knows anything about this crime to come forward and contact us."
Meanwhile, in Cornwall on Tuesday, a 16-year-old girl had her wrist grabbed by a man, though she was able to wrestle free and escape.
Devon and Cornwall police said the incident occurred in Trevenson Road, Pool, shortly after 8am.
Officers said the man was in his late 20s, of stocky build and over 6ft tall.
He had short brown gelled hair and was wearing a red T-shirt, blue jeans, white Nike trainers and had a tattoo of a cross on his left forearm.
