Specialist water rescue units and fire appliances from from Falmouth and St Austell, were part of a dramatic rescue operation in Truro during Saturday night.
The crews were called to the River Allen, at New Bridge Street, Truro, where a person had fallen into mud.
Firefighters rescued the casualty from the river and the person was left in care of ambulance personnel.
