Celebrities have put pen to paper and helped raise over £2000 for Cornwall Wildlife Trust through a Celebrity Doodle Auction run on eBay.
Celebrities who included Jo Brand, Bob Hoskins, Jenny Agutter, Ben Ainslie, Bill Oddie, Joanna Lumley and Michael Morpurgo had all donated marine-themed doodles for the auction that was part of the trust's 50th anniversary.
Successful bidders, who came from all over the United Kingdom, received their signed doodle in a frame.
One of the aution highfliers was a doodle drawn by Bill Oddie. His singing whales went for £200. Other top bids included £150 paid for an intricate image of a mermaid by author and award-winning illustrator Chris Riddell, £117 paid for a doodle by 'warhorse' author Michael Morpurgo, and the Really Wild Show's Chris Packham, who raised over £108 with his marine doodle.
Dania Shaw for the Trust said: "We are thrilled by the success of the auction not only because of the money it has raised for the Trust, but also in knowing that the successful bidders now have some highly treasured pieces of artwork by their favourite celebrities. We would like to thank all the celebrities for donating their doodles, and all the people who went on eBay and placed a bid, successful or not".
