NEWLYN Post Office has closed on the last First Class posting day before Christmas due to water damage.
It has been claimed the damage was caused by flooding through the building's roof overnight
The Cornishman has been contact with the Post Office, which is yet to confirm the circumstances that led to the closure.
The nearest post offices to Newlyn can be found in Penzance or Mousehole.
