Firefighters were called to a fire at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro this morning.
The alarm was raised after fire broke out in the medical services block at the hospital shortly after 9am.
A member of staff put out the fire with an extinguisher before the arrival of six firefighters from Truro.
The fire crew made the area safe and nobody was injured.
