Heavy downpours and high winds in Cornwall today is playing havoc with Falmouth week line-up. The Met Office has issued a weather warning for the South West advising we should expect 'pulses of rain, heavy and thundery in places... The public should be aware of the possibility of surface water flooding and localised disruption to travel'. The 'Fireworks Spectacular' due to take place tonight on the harbour as part of Falmouth week has been postponed until tomorrow at 10pm due to weather conditions. The St Mawes sailing club regatta, due to set off from Falmouth Bay at noon, has also been called off due to dangerous gusts forecast. The open air film in Kimberley Park will not be going ahead - with organisers cancelling the showing of Pirates of the Caribbean 2 altogether. The West of England Steam Engine Rally is, however, still going ahead today.
