Bodmin Town, denied the chance to play their FA Carlsberg Vase tie against Ashington at Priory Park on Saturday, have rearranged a Carlsberg South West Peninsula League premier division match at short notice.
League secretary Phil Hiscox announced on Friday at 8pm that a rearranged game between Bodmin and St Austell at Priory Park had been given the go-ahead for Saturday, with a 3pm kick-off.
Mr Hiscox said: "While everybody through the country is calling games off, we have managed to arrange a fresh game with 19 hours notice."
Bodmin's Vase fourth round tie was postponed on Thursday on the say-so of the FA after they had received a request from Northern League side Ashington not to travel because of a bad weather forecast.
Ashington were due to make the 450-mile trip from the north east on Friday morning but there were Met Office weather warnings of heavy snow, so the FA said yes to their request for a postponement. The tie has been rearranged for Saturday January 26.
Bodmin secretary Nick Giles said: "Our pitch is playable at the moment and we were very keen to get a game on. We had been trying to get a team to agree to play us throughout Friday, but Witheridge, Ivybridge and Falmouth all said no."
St Austell had been due to travel to Falmouth for a Westinsure Cornwall Senior Cup tie, but that was postponed on Friday tea time.
