THE FUTURE of a Camborne nursery that was teetering on the brink of closure may have been saved.
An emergency meeting was held at Little Acorns pre-school at Penponds on Wednesday evening last week to discuss dwindling numbers.
During the meeting attended by parents, teachers and trustees it was decided that drastic cost cutting measures and restructuring were needed to guarantee its future.
"With staff wage cuts, reduced hours and increased marketing activities we are pretty confident that we are able to save it," chairman Catherine Bennett said.
The threat of closure came after about six children left the nursery to start their primary school education and Little Acorns was unable to attract new ones.
But following the meeting the centre has been flooded with offers of help.
If you can help, call nursery manager Nicky Johnson on 01209 718990.
