THE ANTICIPATED sequel to a Cornish comedian's internet series on the county was viewed more than 10,000 times in the first 12 hours.

The Kernow King – pseudonym of Ed Rowe – parodied ITV programme Cornwall With Caroline Quentin with his own tongue-in-cheek version, showing less glamorous destinations.

His first episode of Kernow King's Cornwall focused on Roche and has so far been viewed more than 46,000 times.

The second instalment, posted on YouTube on Monday, reminisces about better times at the dilapidated Cornwall Coliseum in Carlyon Bay.

See the video below. Please note it contains adult content and some swearing.

Raunchier than its predecessor, it describes the days young people used to call the dance floor of disco Gossips "the meat market" and enlisted the help of a cattle prod to pick up "maids".

The Kernow King also educates viewers that Hollywood star Will Smith filmed post-apocalyptic blockbuster I Am Legend at the Coliseum.

"Good ol' Will Smith, he remembers his roots," he says in the video, referring to the previous clip in which he declared the actor was originally from Roche.

The video is also tribute to the former glory of the venue, which once hosted concerts featuring the likes of Bon Jovi, Iron Maiden, The Clash, Deborah Harry, The Jam, Cliff Richard, The Pogues and The Who.

He wraps up the spoof by saying: "The Coliseum shouldn't be like this my darlings. It should've been the Plymouth Pavilions."
