A pasty making grandmother from Camborne has become the latest Facebook sensation.
Eunice Woolcock, 93, has had almost 3,000 "likes" on a Facebook page set up following her appearance on ITV's Food Glorious Food last night (Wednesday).
The programme is looking for " a very special dish", with the winning cook getting £20,000 and seeing their dish on the shelves of Marks and Spencer stores.
Mrs Woolcock was invited to take part in the show after a researcher travelled to her home two years ago and was smitten with her homemade pasty.
Mrs Woolcock responded to an advert in a local newspaper for "someone passionate about Cornish pasties".
She said: "I enter a lot of competitions locally so I rang the number."
When she discovered that it might mean a trip to London, Mrs Woolcock lost interest, but the researcher, so impressed by her charm on the phone, said he would visit her.
One thing led to another, and before she knew it she had a full TV crew in her kitchen at Camborne filming her making pasties.
"And then I never heard anymore from them," said Mrs Woolcock, "until last August, when this lady rang and said we'd like you to come to Kingsbridge to make pasties.
"I said 'I'm 92, dear, I'm not going all the way up there."
But after a bit of deliberation, she decided to go and was driven to Devon by her grandson.
Visits to Gloucestershire, Hertfordshire and London followed, and Mrs Woolcock found she had made the final four out of 75 that started the competition.
Wednesday's TV appearance was the culmination of her journey when her pasty was judged by Tom Parker Bowles.
"He said he's never eaten such a lovely pasty in his life," said Mrs Woolcock.
