A DOZEN protesters gathered in Camborne town centre on Saturday afternoon to express their opposition to forthcoming changes in housing benefit rules dubbed the "bedroom tax ".
Amongst them were town councillors Stuart and Helen Cullimore who added their support to the campaign by holding up banners and shouting slogans such as "tax rich, not poor".
It was organised by Cornwall Anti Cuts Alliance in conjunction with other community groups at the top of Trelowarren Street, between noon and 1pm.
Changes to housing benefit legislation due to come into effect from next month will mean people living in social housing who are deemed to have too much living space will have their payments cut.
