A Falmouth classic boat event dating back more than six decades has been brought into the 21st Century with the launch of a dedicated website.
The site for Falmouth Classics 2013 includes a full programme of activities enables competitors to book their place in the race or associated social events.
The website has been designed and built by the event's media partner Eight Wire.
Falmouth Classics, which dates back to 1949 and first took place in its current guise in 1989, has traditionally taken place as a single race on the day before the start of Falmouth Week regatta in August.
This year marks its transition to a three-day dedicated event running from June 14 to 16, featuring classic boat racing and traditional song thanks to a new link with the Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival.
Also new this year is a parade of classic boats along the inner harbour on the Saturday morning for the whole town to enjoy.
Chairman of the organising committee Roger Hollingsworth said: "We're delighted with our new online presence and know it will be an important resource for competitors and spectators alike.
"It's the perfect springboard for the new-look Falmouth Classics regatta."
Eight Wire director Jamie Smith added: "We're proud to help it grow from single-day race to multi-day regatta.
"The new website will be a valuable tool in attracting new interest and making it easier for competitors to learn how to get involved in this great event."
Falmouth Town Council is also supporting the event and has agreed to give a grant of £1,700 towards it.
