A WOMAN had to be rescued from a car after it rolled on to its side and into a hedge in icy road conditions this morning.
Two fire crews from Penzance and the rescue tender from Camborne attended the scene at Newbridge near Tremethick Cross at around 6.45am.
A blue Renault Megan was found on its side and a woman in her 20s was helped out of the passenger door. No other vehicle was involved but police said the stretch of road had been described as an ice rink.
A spokesperson for the fire service said the driver was treated by a waiting ambulance crew but was not believed to have suffered any serious injuries.
