The future of a premises in Falmouth as a night club could be decided once and for all next week.
If the licence is revoked for Club Chic in Quay Hill by Cornwall Council's licensing department, it could have an impact on any future use.
The committee has been asked to review the premises licence following a long history of noise complaints, caused by both music inside the venue and patrons outside late into the night.
Residents have raised the issue with police and licensing officers before Peter Farrington took it over as Club Chic and many say it is not a suitable location for such an operation.
Prior to this it was Shades and then Mama Africa. The premises is currently closed and up for sale.
The review relates to the breach of conditions of the licence and is supported by the police and local residents.
Options the committee have include a informal warning, modifying the licence conditions, exclude a licensable activity, suspend the licence for up to three months or revoke it.
The committee meet on Tuesday morning at 10am at The Guildhall, St John's Hall Building, Alverton Street, Penzance.
