DELIGHTED children at Lostwithiel library celebrated receiving their Story Lab reading awards on Tuesday.
Over 40 four to eleven-year-olds from the area took part in the Summer Reading Challenge, devouring six or more books each over the school holidays.
Presenting the awards was Lostwithiel mayor Gill Parsons. "I was amazed," she said.
"Over 40 children were there to receive a medallion and a certificate. Lostwithiel has a good future.
"I was so pleased that in the computer age the children do so much reading. If you read you learn."
