Improvement works on the Westcountry's main rail link to London will mean delays for passengers this month, First Great Western has warned.
Network Rail is to repair bridges and relay track between Taunton and Castle Cary. The work, which starts on Monday April 15 and goes on from Monday to Thursday, will take three weeks.
Westcountry services to and from London will be diverted via Bristol. Trains will leave earlier than usual and journey times will be extended by approximately 30 minutes.
Friday and weekend services will be unaffected. There will also be replacement coaches operating between Taunton and Castle Cary. A special revised timetable has been published online.
