Flights from Cornwall to the Turkish Riviera began yesterday with a fully-booked inaugural flight to mark the start of a series of package holidays. OSKA-TRAVEL, who are members of KENBA Group International, are flying to the holiday destination on four consecutive weeks in April direct from Newquay Cornwall Airport. Yesterday the airport announced a further two dates to Turkey in November. The Cornish airport came under fire this week for rising parking charges from April 1st. Newquay Cornwall Airport have removed the 'drop off' zone which was free for 15 minutes. It is now a minimum charge of £1 for 30 minutes stay. Al Titterington, the airport Managing Director said "We've got to be looking at all aspects of our business and trying to increase revenues from all avenues across the business. "We've got a mandate from Cornwall Council to be reducing that subsidy using all powers of the organisation and the car park is one tool we're using to do that."
