TWO fire crews were called to a flat in Liskeard this afternoon after reports from a neighbour of smoke coming from the property.
The appliances from Liskeard and Callington entered the smoke-logged first floor flat wearing breathing apparatus and extinguished the fire inside.
The fire crews remained on scene at Lower Lux Street checking that the fire had not spread and to determine the cause of the fire.
The British Red Cross Fire Emergency Support Service (FESS) attended from Plymouth to offer support to the occupants of the neighbouring properties but there was no one in the flat at the time.
