HELSTON'S Jack Stanley was part of the England U16s side which defeated Wales at Oxford University on Saturday, writes Lee Hall.
The 16-year-old prop forward, who also started for his country against Italy in Lichfield at the end of last month, played his part in helping England turn around a 10-0 deficit to run out 32-26 winners in a thrilling game of rugby.
Jack, a pupil at Helston Community College, plays for the Cornish Pirates and is a member of the Exeter Chiefs Academy.
In February he earned England trials at Hartpury College and after impressing selectors he was included in the squad to face Italy and Wales.
And the teenager will be hoping to feature for his country in more games this year after impressing in both matches.
Against Italy he tackled hard and made his presence known with some forceful drives.
He produced another solid display against Wales, dominating the contact area in a full-blooded affair.
