A RETIRED farmer has been found guilty of sexually abusing a naïve schoolgirl on a Helston farm.
John Rosewarne, 63, of Pencarn Parc, Four Lanes, Redruth, was tried 35 years after he exploited his 10-year-old victim over a long period of time in the 1970's.
Following the trial at Truro Crown Court this week a jury of 12 men and women found Rosewarne guilty of two counts of indecent assault and one count of sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of 13.
Rosewarne was found not guilty of one count of indecent assault and one count of sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of 13
Before the trial started on Monday Rosewarne had admitted one count of sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of 13.
He will be sentenced at a later date.
