A CAMBORNE father of a severely disabled girl is ready to run the London Marathon in aid of a charity which flew his family to Walt Disney World in Florida for a break.
Six-year-old Charlina Haydney was diagnosed with microcephaly and cerebellum hypoplasia when she was just eight months old.
It has resulted in her having severe developmental delay and she is unable to walk and talk.
Now her father Martyn Haydney, aged 44, from Camborne, is set to run the marathon in aid of Make-A-Wish Foundation, which enabled the magical holiday in May 2011.
Mr Hayden said: "I'm running the marathon with my brother Damian and best friend Gary O'Connor because we want to give other children the opportunity to experience what Charlina did."
