A POLICE search was launched in Redruth in the early hours of this morning to find a man trapped at the top of children's play equipment.
Following a search of several local parks in the area they found a 25-year-old man at Plain-an-Gwarry at 4am and called the fire service for assistance.
Fire fighter Rob Hosking from Redruth fire station explained: "When we arrived he was about 10ft off the ground and scared because he did not know where he was and he was also scared of heights.
"Two fire fighters climbed up the climbing frame and following negations with him he agreed to be helped down using the slide.
"He did not know how he had managed to get on the play equipment."
Meanwhile in Camborne arson is suspected after fire crews from Camborne fire station were called to three gorse fires last night.
They took place in the Beacon and Troon areas.
In Portheleven fire fighters were called out yesterday afternoon at 5.30pm to put out a roof fire at the Harbour Inn.
Two crews from Helston and one from Penzance fire stations responded to the incident.
