Cornwall's preparations for their 2013 Bill Beaumont County Championship campaign, which they hope will end with the final at Twickenham, step up a notch with Monday evening's Tamar Cup clash against Devon at Plymouth Albion.
It is their only warm up game, but the squad have had several training sessions as they bid for their first final appearance since 1999.
And they have named a strong side to defend the cup, which they won for the first time in four years when they beat Devon 36-15 at Launceston last season.
There are six players each from National 2 South sides, Redruth and the Cornish All Blacks, including captain Ben Hilton.
He said: "These games come after a very long season, but the players are delighted and honoured to be given the opportunity of pulling on the Cornwall shirt and representing the county."
Cornwall face a very difficult group in the Championship, starting with away games against Gloucestershire (May 4) and Kent (May 11) before their only home match against holders Hertfordshire at Camborne on May 18.
The county are again coached by Benji Thomas who said: "The 2013 season will be very challenging, and this game against Devon allows us to watch players perform against a strong Devon side.
"Further players will be available for the County Championship and competition for places is very high."
He will be assisted by Ian Davies, Alan Paver and Gavin Cattle from the Cornish Pirates and Barnstaple's Steve Perry.
"They will bring a wealth of experience of championship rugby," added Thomas.
Cornwall in conjunction with its main sponsor St Austell Brewery will shortly launch its new playing strip for the 2013 season.
CRFU Treasurer Richard Simeons said: "We have worked hard with our sponsors and the shirt manufacture Raging Bull to design a new strip whilst maintaining our traditional colours and style."
