UPDATE: The fishing boat was towed back to the port arriving in Newlyn at 5pm.
PENLEE lifeboat has been launched to assist a fishing vessel off the coast of Cornwall.
The volunteer crew was paged at 4.25pm to help the 28ft boat with two people on board.
A spokesman for Falmouth Coastguard, which is co-ordinating the rescue, said the boat had suffered an engine problem about two miles east of Porthcurno, adding that: "There is no immediate danger to the crew."
The fishing vessel is registered to Penzance.
