Bodmin Town clinched the Carlsberg South West Peninsula League premier division title on Tuesday night when they won 3-1 at Ivybridge Town and title rivals Plymouth Parkway lost 2-1 at home to Elburton Villa.
It is the second successive season Darren Gilbert's men have been champions and the fourth time in the six seasons the Peninsula League has existed. In the other two seasons they finished runners-up.
Gilbert said: "It's fantastic. The players deserve the title because they have been brilliant all season. We've only lost one league game, and we've won the title with four games to spare."
Bodmin had to come from behind at Erme Valley to record their 25th win in 32 league games after Ivybridge's man of the match Jordan Walton fired them into the lead after 39 minutes.
It took Bodmin less than a minute to equalise, with Shane Krac providing an inch perfect cross from the left which allowed Luke Hodge to head in from closer range.
Krac, who emerged as Bodmin's most influential player, was booked for dissent in the 50th minute but he answered his critics in the best possible way a minute later when he fired Bodmin into the lead with a rasping drive from 20 yards.
Krac and Lee Doel then combined to set up an 81st minute chance for substitute Adam Carter and the big striker lifted the ball over the goalkeeper to make the three points safe.
Attention then switched to what was happening at Bolitho Park where Plymouth Parkway needed to win to keep the title race alive. But third-placed Elburton beat them 2-1, leaving Parkway nine points adrift of Bodmin with only two games left.
At the final whistle at Ivybridge, Bodmin's players and staff celebrated in the centre circle as news filtered through.
Parkway's hopes of finishing second to secure their promotion to the Western League are under threat, as Elburton's win moved them to within a point of their Plymouth rivals, having played a game less.
Bodmin: Miller, Morgan, Rundle, Chambers, Simmonds, Swiggs, Brokenshire, Krac, Hodge (Carter 64), Doel, Matthews (Colwell 73). Subs not used: Reed.
Elsewhere in the premier division on Tuesday night, Newquay beat Saltash United 1-0 at Kimberley Stadium.
In division one west, Perranporth recorded a 3-1 home win over Truro City Reserves.
