A police spokesman said the man, who is in his twenties and from the Liskeard area, suffered minor injuries.
The vehicle has been recovered and the road has now been reopened.

Police say a Volkswagen Golf is on its roof on the A38 sliproad eastbound.
The male driver is conscious and being treated by paramedics.
One lane of the slip road is closed causing heavy traffic in the area.
