A group of determined Devoran Gig Club rowers found themselves with an unusual challenge last week when they tried to launch their gig Fear Not for a social rowing session.
The slipway at Mylor Yacht Harbour was blocked by a large catamaran. However, where there is a will there is a way and the rowers simply guided the gig underneath the obstruction.
Club rower John Bray explained "Unfortunately the tide was too low to launch from the other Mylor slipway so we decided we could manoeuvre Fear Not under the boat. I think the catamaran owner was a little bemused to say the least."
