Portreath Surf Lifesaving Club's youth team won the National Stillwater championships for the third consecutive year.
The team, comprising 33 12-19-year-olds, retained the title at Millfield School in Somerset with a final points tally of 1,547, a massive 531 points ahead of the second placed team, Woolacombe.
Youth Team member Josie Williams broke the British national record in the Super Life Saver event and won three further gold and two silver medals.
Other individual medallists were: Charlie Haynes – four gold, silver; Matt Trewella– bronze; Charlotte Hewitt – bronze; AnyaPiotrowicz– bronze; Dominic Goodwin – gold and silver; James Carpenter – silver and bronze; Molly Caudrey– three gold; James Ibbotson– silver; Emma Henderson – three gold; Rachael Henderson – gold and bronze; Jack Meggitt– gold and silver.
Portreath's 44-strong Nipper squad also competed at Milfield and finished in third place, just behind St Ives and winners Woolacombe.
Portreath's senior team finished their competition in second place, and the masters finished in eighth place.
The club is now looking forward to moving onto the beach, with a full summer training programme.
The squad will be back to full strength with members returning from overseas training in Australia and New Zealand and competing against some of the best surf lifesaving competitors in the world.
