GIG rowers from Falmouth rowed themselves into the record books at the weekend with victories in the men's and women's races.
The 24th World Pilot Gig Championships welcomed more than 130 boats to compete on the Isles of Scilly.
At the conclusion of a final, which they never looked in doubt of winning, the ladies team, who had led from the front throughout, romped to victory.
In a more fiercely contested climax to the championship, the men's team from the Cornish club also sealed their place on the podium, beating Looe into second and Roseland into third place.
Falmouth men's captain Jamie Maxted said: "It is just great, as good as the first time. We have been training so hard all winter that to win again is just an amazing feeling."
Russell Lawrence, who trained the crew, said they had worked their socks off. He said: "I'm absolutely delighted. It's 20 weeks' hard work which started in October and there's been no let up. But at the end of the day it's down to whether they can perform in those vital ten minutes and they did."
In the ladies final, Falmouth fielded the same team as last year, beating Mounts Bay and Caradon into second and third place.
For Karen Beswetherick, winning the 2013 world championship title was particularly sweet as it marked her tenth medal. "This was a special one and one I really wanted," she said.
Esther Oldrieve, who won her ninth world champions medal, said success was down to hard training and teamwork.
"It's lovely," she said. "Every year we come here to enjoy ourselves and enjoy the rowing. Long may it last!"
