The A30 has been partially reopened following a serious crash at Fraddon this afternoon.
The emergency services were called to the scene of the accident, which involved a white Volkswagen Polo and a red Renault Clio, at 4.40pm.
Two people were injured but their injuries are not said to be life threatening.
Eleven firefighters from St Columb and St Dennis attended the collision on the westbound carriageway.
A spokeswoman for the service said: "Crews used small tools to assist one casualty from a vehicle alongside ambulance paramedics. crews made the scene safe before leaving the scene."
The carriageway was closed but a police spokesman said one lane has now been reopened although warned that traffic would still be moving slowly in the area.
