CAMPAIGNERS continuing the fight against the new ban on dogs on key St Ives beaches in the summer met for a walk through the town on Sunday.
The dog-owners said they wanted to highlight how many dog-walkers would be using the town's streets if they couldn't go on to the beaches to exercise their pets.
Campaigners from St Ives Dog Owners' Group (DOG) walked from Porthminster beach into town.
They also highlighted dog mess bins filled with litter and difficulties with access at beaches that have been set aside for dogs, such as Lambeth Walk and Bamaluz.
St Ives Town Council has already pledged to investigate making those beaches more accessible.
