SOUTH West Mens Rugby League debutants Cornish Rebels are ready to finally kick off their season against Exeter Centurions at Flowerpots Field, Exeter, today.
The Rebels will be taking a 20-strong squad accross the border for the match which will see the first ever Cornish Rugby League club in competitive action.
The Centurions will be keen to settle the score having lost out to The Rebels at last week's South West 9s competition, though Exeter will be without key men due to educational commitments, including team captain Alex Ford.
The Rebels, meanwhile will be making full use of experienced player-coach Jonny Platt, a former Royal Navy and Plymouth Titans hooker who is leading the Rebels through their inaugral campaign.
With free admission and programmes available for £2, as well as being history in the making, this game promises to be a tasty encounter. Kick-off 2.30pm
